With nostalgic memories of school days past, the old wooden desks with ink wells and fountain pens, we can't forget the faithful leather backpack satchel.

This traditional leather school satchel stands the test of time & is nowadays the ultimate in hip, back to school bags. Made by hand in the UK using the same techniques as generations of artisan leather workers, these sturdy leather satchels are virtually indestructible. The double shoulder strap means that the weight of school books is evenly distributed avoiding the strain on one shoulder which can lead to back problems in later life.

The leather satchel is a classic piece of British design with a bag dating back to the 1920's exhibited at London's V & A Museum.
