Iconic images of India include flower filled visions of temple garlands and Mughal inspired decor. The Garland print is an impression in miniature of the marigold flower which has great spiritual significance in India representing the sun and positivity.
We partner with a small, family-run business in Jaipur that adheres to a zero-waste policy. Block printing is a generational craft dating back to the 16th century in India, and the villages around Jaipur are renowned for their mastery of this art. Our block printers recycle all of their cotton textile offcuts to produce 100% tree-free handmade papers, as featured in our Notebooks.
