These superb creamy goatskin rugs come from a hardy breed of long-haired goat originating from Mongolia. They are unique in the world for their silky hair and soft under wool. In fact, it is this under wool which is also spun into the famous cashmere yarn. The skins are a by-product of the goat meat, which forms a staple part of the diet in the rural communities where they are raised.
